This is an intralinguistic (English-English) B2/B2.1 Oral and Written Mediation Task.
In «Healthy Travel Tips», students are asked to help a friend who is about to embark on a long journey but has just started
a diet and she fears she won’t be able to continue with it the moment she leaves home.
You have the same situation available in Oral and Written Mediation format, so you can choose the one that suits you best.
Students naturally activate several mediation strategies and microskills when they are mediating, like selecting relevant information, adapting the language by explaining specific terminology and connecting with previous knowledge, among others.
All the strategies that students are expected to use in this particular task have been outlined in the Guide for the Evaluator, which you will find extremely useful.
