Competences in education

Level: ,
Topic:
Keywords:

In this English-English Mediation Worksheet students are asked to summarize and transmit the essential information in an article about competences in education. They perform an interview and they are then asked to write a report on their findings, so it combines both oral and written mediation. It is an intralinguistic (English-English) mediation task.

In the pre-mediation section students work on vocabulary, mainly with synonyms, and on subordinate clauses introduced by so + adjective…. that ; such + (adjective) noun…. that.

This mediation activity is great to:

  • train summarizing the original text
  • train information selection
  • practise oral and written mediation
