This is an intralinguistic (English-English) B2/B2.1 Written Mediation Task.
As you will see, it differs slightly from more conventional mediation tasks, as it has been designed to test students’ ability to summarize.
In «Young Vegetarians or Vegans», students are asked to summarize a 300-word text about what to bear in mind if we are thinking about becoming vegetarian and what it implies at an early age.
As students naturally activate other mediation strategies and microskills when they are summarizing, these have also been outlined in the Guide for the Evaluator.
